Corrosion Testing: Application and Use of Salt Fog, Humidity, Cyclic, and Gas TestsRegister On-Line
Location and Dates:
Why You Should AttendThis 2-day HANDS-ON class will provide you with a practical working knowledge of various ASTM corrosion tests. The test equipment used for this standard practice is actually present in the classroom, where you will learn how to operate the equipment and conduct the tests. Referenced DocumentsThis course references approximately 12 ASTM standards. Some of them include: ASTM Standards: B117 Practice for Operating Salt Spray (Fog) Apparatus D 1193 Specification for Regent Water E691 Practice for Conducting an Interlaboratory Study to Determine the Precision of Test Methods G85 Practice for Modified Salt Spray (Fog) Testing Publications: How To Run a Salt Spray Test-by Raymund Singleton About ASTM and Sponsoring Committee G01ASTM is one of the world's largest voluntary standards development organizations. ASTM standards have grown to be among the world's most widely used and accepted documents. The 76-volume Annual Book of ASTM Standards contains over 11,000 standards written by 34,000 members on 129 technical committees. These standards are widely used throughout the world as the basis of purchasing and other contracts, codes, laws and regulations. ASTM Committee G01 on Corrosion of Metals developed the standards used in this course. For more information on Committee G01, contact Len Morrissey at (610) 832-9719 or go to the ASTM G01 technical committee page.
